The hotel is not far from the bus terminal. Also not far from Nagasaki JR station. We booked twin-beds room and the space is sufficient. It is very comfy as there's a couch to sit in front of the TV. The sound isolation is good as well. Night view is nice from the hotel and the supermarket nearby has plenty choices of beverage and snacks, or bento as lunch/dinner. When we arrived on 080425, I asked help from the front desk to confirm a restaurant reservation for me ( レストラン花月 ) because unfortunately they requested to call to confirm the reservation and we don't speak much Japanese, while I already made a reservation via email upfront in my home country. The lady in the front desk was very kind to help us to call to reconfirm the dinner reservation. She is a big life-saver for our Nagasaki travel memory, of course there are other good memories in Nagasaki but this one is standing out. As now too many tourists go to Japan, I've heard that not every hotel will help the guest to make the restaurant reservation but I'm thankful for the help from this friendly young lady in Dormy Inn. Thank you and sorry I didn't catch your name but I will remember your kindness. Also thank you to give us a high floor room. どうもありがとうございます。

We were able to leave our luggage overnight during our 1-night visit to the Goto Islands. Both rooms we stayed in, one on 8th (near elevator) and the other on 3rd (far from elevator), were quiet. We couldn't even hear toilets flushing in adjoining rooms. Water pressure consistently strong. Room design was excellent for 2 people, better and slightly bigger than similar rooms in other hotels we have stayed in in Japan. Cleaner than similar Japanese hotels we have stayed at. All toiletries provided; also pajamas. Fresh towels, bottled water, drip coffee packets provided daily through simple notification next to door. Though we didn't use them, the presence of clothes washers on the 11th floor was a comfort. Washers and soap apparently free while dryers had a fee. LOCATION is convenient to train station and just one short block from Airport bus stop. Interesting feature in elevator: an emergency kit in case one is trapped, including a toilet, water, and flashlight.

The service from the staff were great! We left our luggage before check in time and when we got back to perform the self check in, I was told by the staff that our luggage have been placed in our room. That was really helpful for us as we were a bit tired from travelling into Nagasaki that day and it was raining that day as we tried to walk around Nagasaki before check in time. The room we got was quite spacious with furniture placed well to make good of the room space. The free facilities were great and that was the reason I wanted to try a Dormy Inn hotel. Public bath, massage chair and midnight ramen are good. Handy that the washing machines and dryers are in the bath so I could get the clothes washed while in the bath. I like that it's not too far from JR Nagasaki station (as I was contemplating between this Dormy Inn and the one near Chinatown). Glad I didn't pick the Chinatown as it's hard to get luggage onto the tram from JR Nagasaki station to Chinatown.

I love Dormy Inn. Especially the Dormy Inn Premiums. The breakfast is amazing and they source delicious local food and produce. The milk and the orange juice are especially delicious and I find the orange juice pleasant with flavour that blooms in you mouth. Not only that, definitely stop by for the late night soba snack and ice pops after a bath! Dormy Inn is one of those places where I wish they'd have in North America. It's a pretty economical option with everything that you need. Not only that, there's a 7-11 right downstairs which meant that if you can't make up your mind for dinner or if you're tired of spending money, there's always a cheap option right on your doorstep. It's centrally located, and easy to find. I do think that Apple/Google maps takes you over the Skybridge which is annoying with luggage. Don't be baited and just keep walking the sidewalk on the side of the station until you see the building. Crossing there is a lot easier.

Hotel was in a good location, just a short walk away from Nagasaki Station. Check-in was efficient and the staff were helpful and friendly and provided information about the hotel services and amenities. My room was a good size - larger than average for Japan - and had plenty of space for luggage etc. The hotel had plenty of amenities including a large public bath, sauna, coin laundry, and there was a convenience store situated directly next to the hotel. Breakfast was excellent and had a nice mix of Japanese and Western dishes with a good variety and also some local Nagasaki specialities. It was easy to get around the city with the tram and bus stops located within a couple of minutes walk. Overall I enjoyed my stay here, it was a good hotel very centrally located for exploring the city.
